VISIT OF BARIN MEHTA - FEB./MAR 2008

VISIT OF REIKI GRAND MASTER BARIN MEHTA

MIRABINDO HEALING CENTRE is delighted to have hosted Reiki Grand Master, Barin Mehta on his one month visit to Brisbane Australia in February/March 2008.  His visit brought a great deal of inspiration to his Australian students.   Barin Mehta graceously shared with us his understanding and skills in Reiki healing during a couple of healing workshops held at Langri Tangpa Meditation Centre, where he was invited as a guest speaker.  Emphasis in these workshops was on the understanding of inner healing as an aid to spiritual way of life as well as how to apply the healing methods for betterment of one's health and well-being.

It is heart-warmning to be able to share such goodwill and spiritual wealth across the boundaries of nation, belief systems and race. With an emphasis on brotherhood of all universal communities we build a better world.

Thank you Barin Mehta for the inspiration you have provided to your Australian students.

CREATING HEALTH

CREATING HEALTH

The state of health is the state of balance and harmony; the state of being at ease, as opposed to dis-ease.  This is true both for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.  It would be very difficult to achieve an overall state of well being if any of these categories are ignored or out of balance.  Many of the physical symptoms we experience can be pointers to imbalances at other levels of our being.  We may choose to go and see a doctor to deal with the symptoms, and get some medicine to alleviate the symptoms.  Of course, we need to do this.  However, just as important is it that we begin to understand the relationship between our body and mind.

All of our psycho- physical energies are inter related and will have an impact on our health.  Excessive anger creates imbalance in the liver and bile, and could at some later stage create arthritic problems.  Excessive grief and fear will restrict breathing and create problems with the lungs and related areas.  Worry will create too much acid in the stomach and in time become stomach ulcers.  There are effects from both our gross and subtle energies.  Often it is just a matter of time and how strongly or how repetitively the energy is expressed, before it ripens into sickness.  In short, any kind of imbalance has potential to create ill health at some stage, when activated by external and/or internal conditions.  For this reason, it will never be enough to just take care of, and deal with, the physical aspects of health.  It is necessary to also strive for harmony in thought, speech, actions, emotions etc.  If that is achieved then the chances of illness are reduced.

Therefore, the first step is to become lucidly aware of the relationship between our body, thought, feeling, emotions, and intentions as well as what arises in our interaction with others, and the world.  Along with this, we can try to see and understand how these energies travel in the psycho-physical being.  We need to become aware of where the energies end up and how they influence the physical.  Doing this we will begin to see and experience how health or imbalance is created, and how ease or dis-ease arises.  We begin to see and understand the need to take some time to cultivate our inner awareness so that we may exercise a better choice of actions.

When we reduce the intensive, repetitive, extreme, or negative emotions, we will at the same time minimize the unbalanced energy patterns that affect our health.  Therefore there will be far less obstructions to the proper flow of energy throughout our being, and as a result we will have better health and resistance to illness.  It is a good idea to stay in tune daily with our inner energies, physically, emotionally and mentally and spiritually.  Let us take stock of where we are at, and then resolve to create a harmonious state of being.  With regard to this our spiritual values can be a very helpful tool.  However, even if we are not inclined towards a specific school of thought, we can still use our basic value system as a guiding incentive for establishing better health and balance.

To achieve health and well-being, we must integrate all aspects of life, be it physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, and live according to natural laws, rather than follow our general desires and wishes.

I wish you health and happiness always.

CREATION - THE ART OF LIVING

  • ART AS HEALING FOOD FOR THOUGHT

CREATIVITY -   THE ART OF LIVING

As we go about our life, creativity, imagination and inspiration play a great role in all we do.  Creativity does not just occur in the process of producing art.  The greatest art of all is ‘THE ART OF LIVING’.  Creative vision can help us in so many ways; be it earning a daily income, achieving our goals, serving up a meal or dealing with people.  In fact, it would seem that creativity is one of the fundamental building blocks of our human evolution.

However, with the increase of technology and all the associated work and social pressures, it is much harder for an individual to stay in touch with the inner world of inspiration, creativity, and imagination.  Mankind has to a degree managed to control and manipulate many aspects of external phenomena, but he has not yet been able to master his own being.

When we look for answers, we need to get back inside to the place from where all creativity and activity springs.  When it comes to creativity, we should realize that controlling creativity can be a hindrance to us; in fact letting go of control we are free to be open to new inspiration.  Why, because we are no longer ruled by the limited intellectual factors and restrictions.  An open mind has no need to control, resist, or cling, and therefore an open mind has freedom.  Being creative is to find that point of stillness within from where all creation and imagination can flow freely and unhindered into whatever expression is needed.  This in itself brings about a tremendous amount of inspiration.

So who ever we are; a busy executive, a mother, an artist, a builder or a healer, creativity is available to us all.  In the ART OF LIVING, let’s connect with creation, imagination and countless skillful expressions.  Let’s embrace the fullness of life.
